Laurel Li Harris has always been an advocate and knew at a very young age that she wanted to be an attorney. After experiencing firsthand the devastating effects of the BP oil spill on the pristine beaches of her hometown in Pensacola, Florida, she was honored to move to Mississippi to fight on behalf of others also affected. Upon moving to Mississippi in early 2011, she became involved in the firm’s Avandia litigation.
Ms. Harris attended the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida where she majored in criminal justice and forensic science and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in 2007. She then received her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida in 2010. While at Florida Coastal, she was a two-time Florida Bar Foundation Fellow, where she gained experience working with various Florida Legal Aid associations. Ms. Harris was elected vice president of the Coastal Association of Public Interest Law, earned certificates in family law and legal research, writing and drafting and was honored for her service of more than 200 pro bono hours while in law school.
In her free time, Ms. Harris appreciates the outdoors and enjoys her new home here in Mississippi. Her areas of practice include mass torts, pharmaceutical and medical device cases and product liability.
